Mixed Media Frames

Well WOW did I have fun with these!  My sister told me she needed something at her hairdressing station cuz everyone else has a picture of their family except her.  She's so cute.  In THAT case have I got a frame for you!!

The picture is one of our recent favorites.  We're normally anywhere from 10-35lbs apart but right now, for some reason we're the same weight and looking very much alike these days.  I'm not sure that's ever happened except when we were kids.  LOL!

I bought a $2.00 frame at the dollar store and then added all kinds of lace, textures, art ingredients from Finnibair, painted it with mica powders and topped them off with GLITTER!!   Simone's all time favorite craft item!!  LOL!!

A few photo's:

When I applied the brick stencil, I had added some microbeads into the gel medium so I could get that texture.  Fun technique!

Here's the green one:

Filled a little tiny bottle with some micro beads.  It sure didn't take much.  LOL!

I have to mention how incredibly difficult it is to take a picture with glitter on it.  I actually even find that taking a picture of a black painted project is a challenge as well. The photo's don't do these projects justice.  I'm hoping when I get my new craft room to actually have a photo booth that is always set up.  We'll see.

Thank you for stopping by!  Hugs!

Wow, this is fabulous. I am sure your sister will be thrilled and no doubt all her colleagues will be envious of her frame - you both look beautiful. The colours, textures and embellishments all work so well together.
Have a lovely week.
Hugs Sharon. x
